And Photos on The Red Carpet!
Hi all! We hope you are happy and healthy out there!
After a nap (we all earned it) I think I can gush about how awesome our day was today at The Edmonton Expo (Comic Con)
.
As Kris and I (and our family) cosplays, we always try our best to interact with people and kids in a very welcoming and positive way (plus I work SUPER hard on the costumes), I was asked two years ago to be a Cosplay Guest! As Bunsen and Beaker have grown in fame, the Edmonton Expo team reached out to us to see if we could incorporate them into family day somehow. We settled on photos with Ash Fetchum (Bunsen) and Beakachu (Beaker) on the Red Carpet! It was so much fun!
I have to give my hats off to the team at the expo, we had a handler named Karli who made us feel SO welcome and they had safe places for the dogs to go. We had a whole media team follow us around and when it was time to take photos on the red carpet with the public, they all helped facilitate it. Not only that they worked out a plan for us to meet the voice of Ash (the main character from Pokemon) for some one on one time and photos. Sarah Natochenny was blown away and LOVED Bunsen (who loved her back with his giant heart).
The main creatures we have to love are Bunsen and Beaker. We took almost 100 photos in 30 minutes with bright lights, loud sounds and crazy costumes all around! Bunsen and Beaker posed for THE WHOLE time. We knew they had it in them, but they were NEVER tested like this before. They did AMAZING and blew everyone away. I’m serious, they sat and smiled for photos for 30 straight minutes. I’m just so proud of them.
