So, after what Bunsen went through, did Brix say "hold my catnip"?

The Pupdate Newsletter's avatar

Ha! Basically. I did tell the vets we swear we aren’t doing this on purpose to them with weird cases

What a story! If I hadn’t just lived it through you, it would be hard to believe. This time these are happy (relieved) tears.

It's not lost on me that the beloved cat of teachers taught a vet student who will use his case to teach others. Bunsen and Brix educating vets the world over. It's poetic.

First of all, I (and thousands of your newly closest friends) am SO VERY THRILLED you have your beautiful boy home once more! Surely you all can feel the sighs of relief, no greater than your own. 🥰

Secondly, “We also discovered those squeeze tubes of salmon and tuna goo.” Those tubes are the ONLY way my cat can be seen by her vet. She came to me as an adult foster, her previous home unaware she is both deaf & has an anxiety disorder. Daily Prozac helps her anxiety, but she still doesn’t do well with being carried, poked & prodded. Until the vet pulls out the kitty crack! She’ll sit for an hour as long as they give her a tube to lick. Feline Go-gurt, where have you been all my life??

Lastly, you’re right. Film adaptation MUST include the student’s ‘A grade’ reference. I see an auditorium of lab coats, hanging…on…her…every…word..! A gristled old instructor, eyes tearing up, pulling a handkerchief from his pocket! Eruptions of applause! Black and white, use of shadows… Wait, too much? Forgive me, I’m a 1930’s Hollywood fan.

Here’s to you, Brix, and all at Cedarwood! May the pain of the past week be all in the past and may the future hold nothing by love, cuddles & joy! 🥂 ❤️

such good news! laughed at bird story and bird saying bullshit and then Dr Sparrow telling cardiologist bullshit re the fluid. awesome that the vet student wants to use this case for her project. this is how so many will learn-who knows when it might help someone else's pet.

Is there a way to donate stuffies? I don’t need any more stuff but you have supported causes in this way before. That would be a way to support you and a good cause at the same time.

The Pupdate Newsletter's avatar

When we launch the Brix stuffie we will have a few ways to donate things you bet

Phew. I always chuckle a bit when I hear our little friends described as "stress relievers." Yeah, most of the time, but periodically their vulnerability and mortality can cause us humans to feel as though we're being drawn and quartered with a dull blade. LONG LIVE BRIX!

What wonderful, wonderful news!

Such wonderful wonderful news! Thank you for keeping us all “in the loop” this week. And for spreading the word about FIP! My husband & I have 2 cats & had never heard of it. So happy for all of you & hoping you can relax now. 💕💕💕

I’m so glad and relieved that Brix is home and healthy. I don’t have cats and have never heard of FIP, and it was amazing how many in this community recommended he be checked for it.

And now we add Brix as a veterinary case study. They should invite you and Brix to that presentation.

I had to laugh about the parrot, it brought me back about 30 years when my husband and I traveled to Roatan, Honduras with group dive trips. The resort we went had a number of parrots and macaws around that were very entertaining, but had some very salty language 😁

That is just the greatest news for Brix … and all of you! And also for all of us who have been sending virtual love and best wishes.

I've never cried so hard as when Alexander didn't make it. Thank you so much for sharing your heartwarming story. We're all routing for Brix and feel your pain and joy!! So happy he's home!!

Oh I’m so sorry to hear about Alexander. Can you tell us about him?

He was our first kitty. He's in the garden with his own real granite headstone! We never questioned the cost. Roxie, our Maine Coon, is in the garden, too, with her granite headstone! Kind of funny. Thank you to you and the fam for providing us such joy, and sometimes pain. Love the pack!!

Hope Canada does well in WC!

We have picked up a huge pack of goo tubes!

A miracle? Or just believing thru prayer? The staff believing, all our prayers? I believe. A prayer of thanksgiving this wonderful Sunday morning. God Bless all 💕🐾✝️

The Pupdate Newsletter's avatar

Science, love, vet training, prayer, positive thoughts, all of the above perhaps ❤️

Indeed 🙏🐾💕

No, I think it was not prayer

It was a sudden accumulation of knowledge that assembled itself in twitter.
