Our Beaver Dam Brings All The Moose to The Yard
And they're like it's better than yours, dam right it's better than yours
Ok.
WOW.
After days of not getting anything the wildlife on our cameras are rolling in. A glitch in downloading was discovered and we found a whole bunch more footage including a MOOSE having a slurp at the dam water!
Our industrious beaver also showed us how it moves the giant logs…it bites the logs and just WALKS THE LOGS DOWN TO THE CREEK.
We had theories as to why we have seen moose around, and I thought it’s because the creek is normally dry, but with the Beaver activity there is a ton of water down there. My theory was proved by our wildlife camera! MOOSE.
On a scary note, on Friday we were out on a walk with the dogs and we got WAY too close to a couple moose who were within 10m of us, down in the creek. Luckily, the ran off when they saw us and the dogs had good recall, but we have started planning our walks different to protect ourselves and the dogs.
More exciting news: the Ginger Stuffies arrived Wednesday and we were all so excited. They are ALL so adorable!!!
Kris and I worked all weekend and we finished every single one of the pre-orders of the Ginger stuffie! It was exhausting but we loaded 14 huge boxes of orders up and I’m writing this literally after we dropped them off! Gingers will be zooming around the world Monday! Adam had reading week last week, but in talking with him he is really enjoying college and some of the freedom he has over being in high school. At any rate, the dogs were sure happy he was home and around them during the week!
