Hi all! We hope you are happy and healthy out there!
Some terrifying cold weather has rolled into Alberta freezing the province into an icebox. Thursday to today (Sunday) it has been -30ºC or colder with Saturday and Sunday being -50 with the windchill.
That’s much too cold for Beaker, her paws and body can’t stand that kind of cold so we watch out for her, letting her out to run off some steam and do the bathroom thing.
Bunsen seems to be fine. His paws maybe got cold to start and then he is happily frolicking in the snow and not really wanting to come back in. Wild.
These kind of wild temperatures also all me to film some science stuff that doesn’t happen all the time. With Kris’ help I put together a ton of awesome photos and content!
The Science Pawdcast is back in February with full episodes and I’m hard at work interviewing guests for when it returns!
Here are a few shots of the cold weather fun!
The next week of teaching for both Kris and I is the wind-down to the end of the semester. We will be reviewing and prepping students for finals, so while the load of teaching is over, we have to cheer our kids on and motivate them to do their best! Funny story, the Red Deer Royals called Adam and asked him to please please come back as a Tuba for their marching season. If it works with his work he said yes! So you might see Adam back in the marching reds this summer!

Activity Books and Science Books!
Kris and I heard some great feedback about our activity book that for ages 4-6 it was a bit tough, so we worked over Christmas to make an ages 4-6 activity book that has more coloring, mazes, and age appropriate games! It’s gone into print and you should see it in our store in a couple weeks!
We have heard wonderful feedback about our age 6+ Activity Book and our Science Experiments Book!
We also have awesome deals where you can get a Bunsen/Beaker/Ginger stuffie and have it come with our experiment book too!
Great on our calendar continue!
Hope the end of the semester goes well. Love the winter science photos - stay safe in all the cold!
And I complain when we get the occasional
